Dukes' junior Aidan Mann shot a 76 at the Class 3A New Trier Sectional on Oct. 9 to advance to the state tournament. York shot a 309 to finish fourth in the team standings, with three teams advancing.

Connon Leahy carded a 72 at the Class 1A Rockford Christian Life Sectional on Oct. 9 to advance to the state tournament.

Freshman Kyle Franklin ran for 214 yards and three touchdowns, and the Knights (6-1, 3-0 Metro Suburban Blue) rolled past Wheaton Academy 59-7 on Oct. 6. C.J. West threw for 150 yards and touchdown passes to Khali Sanders, Jacob Lytton and Sean Hipskind.


Jack Jessen and Chris Diaz each ran for two touchdowns and John Taylor added a scoring run as Willowbrook (6-1, 4-0) clinched a playoff berth by beating Morton 56-0 on Oct. 6.


Grant Melion ran for a 9-yard touchdown and KeVon Washington had 37 rushing yards for the Dukes (0-7, 0-3 West Suburban Silver) in a 30-7 loss to Oark Park on Oct. 6.


Nick Orlando ran for 113 yards and a touchdown, and threw for three scores for the Broncos (5-2, 1-1) in a 56-0 win over DePaul College Prep on Oct. 6.

Tracy Westra had 11 assists, six aces and seven digs to lead the Trojans past Walther Christian 25-9, 25-9 on Oct. 10. Rachel Stoll added five assists, three kills and seven digs, Heidi Westra six kills and seven digs and Abygale Ahn seven digs for Timothy Christian (18-10, 9-2).



The Dukes tied for third with Lyons at the West Suburban Silver conference tournament on Oct. 7. Hinsdale Central won the meet, with Glenbard West second.

Medalists for York was Lauren Fonorow and Eva Jacobsthal at No. 3 doubles, and Cristina Gamboa/Micki Neidigh at No. 4 doubles.

Finishing fourth was Aleksina Jovic was at No. 1 singles, Isabella Nicoli at No. 2 singles, Siva Sreedhar at No. 3 singles, Melissa Cartis/Gianna Nikoleit at No. 1 doubles.
