Theft

• A cellphone reportedly was stolen between noon and 1 p.m. Dec. 17 from a customer’s shopping cart at Shop and Save, 7241 Lemont Road.

• A package reportedly was stolen between 3:30 and 3:45 p.m. Dec. 22 from the front porch of a house in the 4400 block of Stanley Avenue. The empty package was later found one block south of the house.

• A collection of Magic: The Gathering cards valued at $3,000, a flight bag and an iPad reportedly were stolen between 11:03 a.m. Dec. 16 and 7 a.m. Dec. 15 from a car while it was parked either in the lot of Downers Grove North High School, 4436 Main St., or Culver’s, 2500 Ogden Ave.

• Gavin John Caruso, 20, of the 3200 block of Barneswood Lane, Naperville, was charged at 3:07 p.m. Dec. 21 with retail theft at Fry’s Electronics, 3300 Finley Road.

Forgery

A man attempted to use a counterfeit $50 bill between 12:15 and 12:24 p.m. Dec. 21 to pay for a purchase at Panera Bread, 1400 Butterfield Road.
