ROMEOVILLE – A nationally acclaimed lawyer and political commentator will give a talk on “race, racism and the law” at Lewis University on Tuesday.
A. Scott Bolden is a Democratic political power broker and managing partner for the Washington, D.C., office of a large international law firm, according to a news release. His presentation is part of the Lewis University Black History Month programming.
“Bolden is a D.C. insider who combines his distinctive legal and political ability to expertly dismantle the myths and mistruths of both conservative and Democratic voices with a sharp-edged approach that is direct, passionate and progressive,” according to the release.
Bolden has appeared on national media outlets such as CNN, Fox News and NewsOne Now for his political commentary. He attended Providence Catholic High School in New Lenox and earned his bachelor’s degree at Morehouse College before earning his law degree at the Howard University School of Law.
The event is free and open to the public. Bolden will speak 2 p.m. Tuesday at the St. Charles Borromeo Convocation Hall in Romeoville.
