ELMHURST – The Elmhurst Police and Fire departments will be conducting public safety training and exercises on the afternoons of June 7, 21 and 28 at Churchville Middle School, 155 Victory Pkwy., Elmhurst.

Residents in the area are being contacted so they know to expect to see additional police and fire personnel and ambulances in their neighborhoods and surrounding areas for the purpose of training, according to an Elmhurst Fire Department Facebook post.

The departments work together to perform training drills each year to better ensure effective and safe responses during times of crisis, the post stated.

Residents and motorists in the area are asked to respect any posted signs warning them that training is in progress and to stay away from the area, according to the post.
