LA GRANGE – Students from Lyons Township High School got a firsthand look at state-of-the-art robotic technology during a visit Oct. 4 to Amita Health Adventist Medical Center La Grange.
Orthopedic surgeons performed a demonstration of the new Mako System – the only robotic technology that can be used to perform total knee, total hip and partial knee replacements – for a select group of science students interested in pursuing medical careers.
Through this technology, surgeons can develop personalized surgical plans based on 3D mapping.
