ABOUT: The Brookfield Zoo’s inaugural Reindeer Run will take place on a 2-mile course situated entirely within Brookfield Zoo. Stick around for music, drinks, food and Animal Ambassadors. Bring family and friends for free to cheer you on. Animal buildings will not be open. Participants will have the opportunity to "fun run" under the lights for a sneak peek at Holiday Magic, Brookfield Zoo’s annual winter lights festival opening in December.

ABOUT: Visit Roselle’s local businesses for cocoa, treats and other specials. Festivities begin with Celebrate the Season hosted by the Roselle Public Library, with Santa arriving by fire truck at 2 p.m. Grab Cocoa Crawl passport sheets and get stamps at each of the participating businesses for the chance to win prizes. Cocoa Crawl includes entertainment in the Civic Plaza at the corner of Main and Prospect streets, strolling carolers, an ornament-making station, trolley stops, a bonfire with Roselle firefighters and the lighting of the community tree.
HOLLY DAYS OPENING CEREMONIES

ABOUT: Ring in the holiday season at the annual Holly Days Winter Festival opening. Santa's reindeer and elves will arrive on the Westmont Centre lawn at 3:45 p.m. and will be available for photos. Live entertainment will begin late afternoon in the Westmont Centre lobby. The Frosty and Friends Parade steps off at 5 p.m., marching down Cass Avenue, after which Santa will light the village of Westmont tree and be available for photos in the Westmont Centre.
