LA GRANGE – Lyons Township High School’s radio station, WLTL 88.1, will host a Rock-a-Thon to raise money for the station.
The event begins Feb. 15, and runs through 9:06 p.m. Feb. 18 for a total of 88.1 continuous hours.
LTTV also will broadcast and stream video live over the internet and cable. Log on to https://youtu.be/t8ZAbi_vagg to view a Rock-a-Thon promotional video.
Students will take pledges from listeners who can call 708-482-9585, or donate online by clicking the link available at www.wltl.net. There will be items for auction, crazy and quirky contests and more. Funds raised this year will be used to buy a new broadcast antenna, broadcast software and studio equipment.
In addition to listening to the Rock-a-Thon at 88.1 FM, LTTV will simulcast via cable on Comcast channel 99 and AT&T U-Verse channel 99. Rock-a-Thon also will be streamed on twitch and the web at www.wltl.net.
The station’s social media presence will be in full swing with more interactive features, including live Twitter feeds. Web content will be posted throughout the weekend, with posts to Facebook and video content on YouTube pages.
