3 Things to Know About A/C Tune-ups

SPONSORED

With summer in full swing, temperatures are soaring.   The last thing you want is for your air conditioning system to fail, creating miserable heat and humidity in your home.   One way to minimize the risk of this occurring is to schedule an annual tune-up to make sure your A/C system is running properly and efficiently.   Here are 3 things to know about A/C tune-ups:

1.   An A/C tune-up involves a variety of examinations and tests.   Electrical connections will be tightened to ensure the system is cooling safely.   Moving parts will be lubricated to limit resistance that can lead to malfunctions.   The condensate drain line will be cleaned to eliminate mold and clogs that can cause leaks.   The condenser and evaporator coils will be cleaned to maximize airflow, and the system’s controls will be examined to ensure the unit starts, runs, and shuts down properly.

2.   It’s best to take preventative care rather than reacting to the failure of the unit.   It doesn’t take much time for your home to quickly become sweltering on a hot summer day without cool air flow.   A tune-up will help your A/C unit run efficiently, operate more safely, increase its lifespan, reduce your operating expenses, and increase your comfort level inside the home.

3.   Golden Seal Service Experts is currently offering "No Entry" A/C maintenance tune-ups.   All interactions are via the phone, and no home entry is required.   Your NATE-certified technician will leave a filter at your door and ask you to replace your old one, if necessary.   A comprehensive service visit will be performed on the outside A/C unit.   You'll be notified of the findings with a phone call, and any necessary payments can be made with a credit card over the phone, with an emailed receipt.   Appointments can be scheduled online.   First responders receive a 10% appreciation discount!
